HOOKED ON SONG

Denny and Jon make a welcome return to the Folk Club, to perform again in their original guise as an acoustic duo. Their musical partnership goes back to the mid-1990s, when they first performed together at the Folk Club. The selection of songs on that night and the style in which they were delivered, earned them reputation as “a very special blend” (but most unlike Espresso!).



With Jon’s inclusion in the band Rua, the partnership was given further room to flourish and ,not shy of coining phrases, they became known as the “Ballard Section” of this Celtic Collection.

As a duo, they have performed at National Folk Festivals, Summertimes Events and Concerts, and have played support to touring artists, including English Folk Maestro, Ralph McTell.

Drawing from a rich source of legendary and contemporary songwriters, this promises to be a highly engaging evening, with music from many a heart.
