There is so much great music being made these days, there is no excuse for becoming stuck in a one genre rut.
Rick's musical tastes and influences are a map of his own personal journey. From folk blues to indie pop, Americana to classical, World, and jazz.
This is reflected in a somewhat eclectic live set that covers jazz, country, and blues.
You'll hear some old favourites from John Prine, some Tin Pan Alley jazz, a soupcon of bluesy country, and a smidgeon of folk, with a few originals mixed in for good measure.
"I like to give the songs I play my own tweak to fit my style. and the mood on the night, so be prepared for anything."
Rick has been a support act for US acts such as Steve Young, Jimmy La Fave, Tom Russell, plus The Warratahs and Midge Marsden. He has also guested at many folk festivals over the years.
Rick is playing with Anita Clarke (from 'the Eastern), on the fiddle, Chris Budgen Guitar, Hannah Harding harmonies, & maybe.. just maybe... Sarah might be doing a little backing harmonica harmonies also!!!
